February 22, 2022

Hello everyone sorry I don't have anytime, but I can't break my streak haha this week was transfers! I'm getting a new comp, but staying in the same area. I'm excited for what's to come πŸ™‚

February 14, 2022

hey everyone! this was actully a pretty eventful week. hope you all had a good week, or at least a week were you learned things, but we can always find good things in a week. the power of looking for the good in everything. to start the week off we had to super awesome lesson with out friend Christine. she has recently found a faith in god, and is looking for all the knowlege she can get. she was super down to read the book of mormon. we told her if its true then the whole messge is true, and she said "fair enough" haha, so pray for her :) we had a pretty fun distrcit council this week! we did a lot of roleplays which are helpful to increase your teaching apility. other than that we were able to find a lot of servie this week! which is awesome, because we have been having difficulty finding oppurtunities. some of the things we did; took down christmas lights from a front door, so we didnt leave the ground haha, moved some couches, did service for a man nicnamed brett  cool guy in the area haha, and we raked some leaves. its such a great oppurtunity to do service, because it softens peoples hearts, and you follow the example of the Savior. we also found of new person! Nate! we were knocking doors and he opend up. he dosent really have a backround, but said is always willing to learn more, so thats exciting. finaly to end the week off we had out stake mcm meeting. it was pretty good. its a great oppurtuniuty to align the efforts in the areas of the stake! that was pretty much our week me and Elder Hemingway our killing it out here tranfers are coming up next week, so a little sad about that, but with change brings new adventure :)

February 7, 2022

Hey what's up everyone! This week was pretty fun, and had a lot going on, Mainly exchanges. To start it off last pday I had a pretty unfortunate event haha Pic down below, but now it's a new pday so we can get more milk. I will forever double bag now. Then Most of the week was some good old fashioned missionary work. We've really been transitioning to member work in our area, and the mission as a whole, so because of that we are teaching less people, but we just need to be patient as we get it going.  A question for you all, what do you enjoy most about having the missionaries in your home? I also had 2 back to back exchanges this week! Where I go to another area with a new companion for a day. The first one I had an exchange with our zone leader Elder Lonsdale. It was really fun and awesome. I learned so much. I stayed in my area for that one, but they live in flag staff so there was lots of driving involved. The 2nd one the day after was with Elder Cassanova. I went to their area in spring valley which is about the same as here, but 30 minutes away. I was a great experiace, and we worked really hard. That was pretty much the week. One thing I wanted to share, I'm reading a book called believing in Christ I would recommend it to everyone. It's all about the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and how on our own efforts we can't make it anywhere, but through christ we can find perfection. I really love it. Just the principle taught that we are going to fall short and that's okay, because that's how it's supposed to be. If no one fell short then there would be no need for the Atonement, so I invite you to use it πŸ˜„

January 31, 2022

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great weekπŸ™‚ this was definitely a more eventful week for me, and there was a lot of fun moments. To start we were in quarantine! Haha we got exposed to someone who tested positive, so the mission had us quarantine, and get tested. We live in such a small town we had to drive all the way up to flagstaff to get tested, but I was awesome. I saw snow!!! Wooo it was a definitely a victory. So we spent the next day just staying inside working from there. We got negative results back the next day, and got to go out. We also had zone conference this week! Although it was a little different, because of covid, and we are having a mission tour with Elder piper, a 70, coming up! He's over the whole American south west area, so that's super exciting.  This Transfers focus doctrine is Discipleship. We are learning a lot about the saviors commission to his apostles right before he left

Matthew 28

19 ¶ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

It's been a great time. As far as the work In our area a lot of our friends have dropped us recently, so that's pretty sad, but recently we got a referral. She is a self referral, but it was an accident, but she's been keeping all the commitments we give her, and writing down questions! We also borrowed a basketball from a member and me and Elder Hemingway have been Balling up in morning for exercise. He was on his high-school team, and it's been so much fun. I've played so much basketball on my mission, and I've definitely grown to love it so much.  Anyways hope you all are doing well. Let me know what I can do for you!

January 24, 2022

Hello everyone, this was a very pretty normal week. Nothing extraordinary has happened, but It's been fun ,finding fun in the small things. It's been pretty cold here some morning but then it gets hot in the afternoon. I've heard it's usually just 10 degrees colder than the valley. My district covers a pretty huge area. It goes out to camp Verde, and then cornvile, then us in the middle. It's pretty awesome. And it has a unique landscape I love it. You also can see the starts out here super good, and it's awesome. Definitely very different from the valley. This area is a different demographic than I've been used to in my mission, so it's been difficult, bit fun learning some new ways to be effective in missionary work. We've been really focusing on working with our wards and bringing it up from where it was, and there's been good success from that. It's pretty neat up here, and I'm not sure how long I'll be here, but I'll enjoy it well it lasts. Covid has a shutdown a little bit up here so not much interactions with other missionaries, but my companion is awesome and we both have similar interests and we work really well together so that's been a huge blessing. I've definitely seen a lot of cool little tender mercies giving me strength lately. The lord does let us go through our afflictions to help us learn patience, and long suffering, but he also visits his people in their afflictions. A quote that's been particularly impactful to me this week is

"Be still and know that I am God"  God really is our loving heavenly father. Though sometimes it can be hard to see looking at sickness and suffering. If we change our perspective to eternity we will be eternally thankful. Thanks for all you do everyone! Keep in touch let me know how you have been. I'd love to know!

January 17, 2022

Hey everyone! It's been a busy week and I don't have a lot of time so hopefully pictures will make up for the lack of words. It's awesome here in Cottonwood It's Definitely a small town vibe and I love it. We've been working hard here. Not too many interesting things have happened here. Other than we are getting locked down a little due to covid which is a little sad but o well. I've started to re read the continuous Atonement again, and I would recommend the book to everyone. It's a wonderful book on how Jesus is always there for us and there's no limit. The price has already been paid. Hope everything's good with you all!
